The Cygnus Donor Survey
…Where Philanthropy Is Headed in 2010
by Penelope Burk
In spite of all that they have had to contend with in the past two years, three out of four donors say they could still be inspired to give more generously this year. But their dedication to philanthropy is not unconditional, says the study’s author, Penelope Burk. Donors are expressing much more independence in choosing who will get their contributions, how they will transact their gifts, and what they expect in return from not-for-profits they support.
DOWNLOAD THE EXECUTIVE SUMMARY FREE UNTIL AUGUST 13th.
The Cygnus Donor Survey is full of important, pragmatic information that will help not-for-profits raise more money this year. The full 59-page, downloadable report includes statistical data and Burk’s recommendations concerning:
- donors’ big shift to online giving and electronic communication
- the untapped potential among younger donors
- what donors say they need in order to remain loyal and give more generously
- …and much more
Canadian fundraisers and charities – please note that a dedicated report on findings from more than 7000 Canadian donors will be available on August 18, 2010.
